SESAME: Speech Elicitation for Spectral Acoustics in a Multilingual Environment. The SESAME Research tools are a collection of Open Access materials designed to elicit different kinds of speech, including for fine-grained analysis of spectral acoustics. The collection includes Picture Cards designed to elicit single words for phonetic contrasts; Talk Prompts designed to elicit a short sample of speech about a familiar topic; Complex picture scenes; and a Wordless Storybook. The primary target languages are the dominant languages of Singapore: English, Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Melayu (Malay) and Tamil. The Creative Commons License allows the materials to be freely shared with attribution, for any non-commercial purpose, and allows adaptation into other languages.
