PDSL (formerly Parallel & Distributed Processing Lab) was established in 1994. Since then, there have been numerous successful research projects and activities carried out. Faculty members at PDSL have graduated more than 80 PhD and research Master students. Many of them are now working with renowned universities, research institutes or companies (e.g., University of Birmingham, Microsoft, and Oracle).
Current research activities in PDSL can be broadly grouped into six interest areas from resource infrastructures, enabling technologies to applications of parallel and distributed computing: High Performance Computing; Grid & Cloud Computing; P2P Systems; Multi-Agent Systems; Collabortaive Technology and Applications; and Large-scale Discrete Event Simulation.
