Computational Intelligence Laboratory, formerly known as the Center for Coumptational Intelligence and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (iSL), is a new research centre established in April 2004 at the is School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), where it serves both as a teaching lab and research centre. SCSE is part of the College of Engineering (COE), at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.
Researchers in CIL investigate natural and artificial systems to comprehend principles that render intelligent behaviour possible in complex changing environments. The lab’s core research is focused on devising intelligent machines capable of learning, understanding and reasoning about past actions, so as to provide creative solutions to realworld complex problems.
