Appointment: Associate Professor

Research topics:

My research interest focus on the cycling of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in the marine environment. The cycling of these elements is an essential part of the global climate system, and is also critical in supporting healthy marine ecosystems. My research concentrates on biogeochemical processes in plankton communities (microscopic algae, bacteria, zooplankton), but spans a range of temporal and spatial scales, with work ranging from laboratory cultures to ocean basin-scale transects.
