Abstract:

The NTU Corpus of Learner English (NTUCLE) is a corpus of learner English designed to help provide writing support for engineering students. The corpus comprises assignments submitted by first year engineering student at NTU, and was tagged using a new error tag set designed specifically for this corpus. This corpus helped inform the development of an automated system for corrective feedback on students’ writing.
