Abstract:

This dataset contains the Markus encoded text file of 太上黃庭內景玉經 (Taishang huangting neijing yujing). Most of the metadata are based on information obtained from Schipper & Verellen’s Daoist Canon (published in 2004), unless stated otherwise. Where a date range is listed as one half of a century, e.g. "late fourth century BCE,” this is listed as a 50-year range, i.e. between -350 and -300.

Notes:

DZTK 184: It has not beenestablished that this song existed before the revelations to YANG XI, but it is firmly linked to that early development of the Shangqing tradition. For texts attributed by Robinet in DZTK as original to Yang Xi, we have used the traditional dates of the Shangqing 上清 revelations, 363-370, and ascribed them to Yang Xi.
